The mission of the MMLC is to support and facilitate the teaching by WCAS faculty in all academic areas by raising awareness of and assisting in the effective implementation of emerging technologies and innovative pedagogical methods. Beyond its role within WCAS and Northwestern, the MMLC maintains a leadership role among humanities computing and language teaching centers nationwide.

It's hard to believe, but despite the snow on the ground we are working on the summer reservations for the computer labs of Kresge 1-301 and 1-315.

iPad Study in Full Swing

Last quarter, the MMLC launched support of a study led by Department of German Professor Franziska Lys, evaluating the merits and effectiveness of the iPad as a language learning tool. This quarter, the study continues and expands to include two additional faculty and courses from the Program of African and Asian Languages: Hong Jiang (Chinese I) and Chunsheng Yang (Accelerated Chinese II). |
