The mission of the MMLC is to support and facilitate the teaching by WCAS faculty in all academic areas by raising awareness of and assisting in the effective implementation of emerging technologies and innovative pedagogical methods. Beyond its role within WCAS and Northwestern, the MMLC maintains a leadership role among humanities computing and language teaching centers nationwide.

World Wine Web: Digital Dictionaries

The MMLC is gearing up for another World.Wine.Web. event! Stop by next Friday, May 17th, at 4:00pm in Kresge 1-375 for the last high-tech happy hour of the year! This month Lis Elliot leads a discussion of digital dictionaries, speaking to the Russian Visual Dictionary project and the upcoming NUDe project.

Workshop: Prezi, PowerPoint, or Keynote?

The MMLC will be holding a second workshop on presentation software Wednesday, May 8 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. in Kresge 1-315. We will dive into the PowerPoint and Keynote applications and elaborate on the features of greatest value. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!

Writing After the Death of Print?

This month, the MMLC's "World. Wine. Web." happy hour series welcomes John Bresland from the Department of English. In a discussion titled "Writing after the Death of Print: Video Essay Production for Beginners," John will talk about how his students to create publishable works for the digital age.
